Best wine bar in Korčula town with the best owners/hosts. There is also food there, so you can enjoy tasting local wines while eating cheese and "pršut". Located in old town in one of the narrow streets, charmingly overlooking the sea. Sunset here is something else.

Makaruni, home made pasta with home mare goulash. Local dish made by 4 villages. Makarunada takes place traditionally in August and it is a big village party.

The only problem here is parking. But the color of the sea + just couple of people on the beach is what makes this beach even more special. Reachable only by car.

There are plenty of bays to go to when on Korčula. This one is closest to us from Žrnovo. You won’t be sorry to swim there and have a cold beer in the beach bar. Reachable only by car.

Lumbarda is a district on Korčula with a lot of beaches, wine, concerts, donkey races and plenty of other adventurous things to do.

Plenty of deers near the sea. You can feed them and take a picture as they became domicile. Boat taxies go every day from old town.

A bit more expensive place, but has local dishes and calm atmosphere.

This is in the city center, Tkalčićeva street. Always great vibe and more importantly awesome beer. Try Zlatni Medo beer.

There’s a small universe hidden in Zagreb. More specifically, there’s an art installation called The Grounded Solar System in Zagreb, which is a replica of Earth’s solar system.

They keep animals in their natural environment and for this reason, we call it an animal-friendly little ZOO. Amazing value and a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids!

Nicknamed the “Zagreb Sea” by the locals, Jarun Lake is a pleasant oasis just outside the city center. This popular year-round recreation area offers city dwellers a break from the bustling urban center with pebble beach

The Trsat Castle is one of the oldest fortifications on the Croatian coast which preserves the features of the early medieval town construction. During winter it has thousands of lights that adds some special touch to it. There are happenings there, concerts, fairs and plenty more. The view is breathtaking.

The 1,150 foot (350 meters) military tunnel was constructed by the Italian Royal Army between 1939 and 1942. It was utilized to protect civilians from aerial bombing raids conducted by Allied forces during the war. Nowdays, besides connecting parts of the city, it also uses as a cool down location on hot summer days :)

Korzo is not just the main Rijeka’s promenade, its lifeblood, but also its mirror. Rijeka is reflected in Korzo, at Korzo you can read Rijeka. You can feel the people, the vibe, the entire place. It is not long, but it is cute. Lots of shops and cafes along the way.

You can visit a large part of this attractive hiking route, which will reveal all the charms of the Rječina canyon, the natural protection of the “City that flows” and its rich industrial heritage.

Our favourite summer route. 10min downhill from our apartment, after swimming, 15min walking to the city center, and afterwards around 20-30min, depending on the route, back to the apartment. Perfect for summer nights.

Kostrena is situated in close vicinity of Rijeka, surrounded by Martinšćica and the Bay of Bakar. Our Kostrena peninsula is about 10 kilometers long, with a mild slope toward the sea coast. During summer it is crowded with people so not my favorite summer destination. We have a boat so we'll go swim somewhere else, but springs, early summer, early fall is the time to walk it, hang out for a coffee or even a swim if it is warm enough.

Beautiful little city, ideal to be starting point so you are mesmerized from the start. While traveling to Pula, my recommendation is to stop somewhere in the mainland of Istra and eata local dish.

Pula has aa stunning Arena you have to visit. 1 day stay IMO.

When you are in Istra it would be a shame to miss Brijuni, national park. It is really amazing to visit.

THE BEST aquapark. We love it. It is quite expensive, but worth it if you love those kind of stuff.

I'll just say, people call it Croatian Monte Carlo.

Nature Park and one of the most beautiful places you can swim. Worth the stop + Jablanac, small picturesque place to just chill and enjoy clean sea.
