My experience: Anytime I incorporate a new business, I use doola. All I do is select the type of business I’m looking to start (i.e. NJ LLC) & fill out all of the info doola asks for. I pay for registration right in the platform and after a few days, I get my formation docs, operating agreement, and EIN number uploaded right into the platform. 

Product: Apply in 10 minutes for online business banking that transforms how you operate. My experience: The second I get an EIN (after registering for a new biz on doola), I head straight to Mercury and set up a business bank account. The UX is so sleek & finally makes banking a joyful experience.

Product: Hire proactive global talent for your team My experience: For the last 5 years, my mom (hi Stacey!) has been my executive assistant. I trust her, she’s proactive, and highly detail oriented. So when I decided that I wanted to bring on another assistant, my bar was extremely high. I’ve been working with Yunus from Oceans for 3 months now & have been wildly satisfied. 

Product: A high growth B2B company’s outsourced Head of Content Marketing My experience: I’m a cofounder & chairman of storyarb. They’re run by a subject matter expert in the vertical. That’s why I’m a huge fan of growthpair. Specializes in marketing. Highly selective hiring process. My experience: This is the one product on my stack that I’m not a customer of yet, but I’m a huge fan of the founder & know several legit companies that are customers (including Oceans). Think of FuelFinance like excel on steroids with dynamic financials & visuals managed by a team of finance professionals. 

Product: The private network for high-growth founders My experience: Being a founder is lonely as hell. There are all sorts of way that you can find connection & community as you navigate the journey, but I think a great option is a peer group of other founders that know what you’re going through. Tons of my friends are in hampton & they talk about the life-changing connections, knowledge, and support they’ve received by being part of this community. 

Product: A set of simple concepts and practical tools used by more than 275,000 + companies around the world to clarify, simplify, and achieve their vision. My experience: In 2019, my Morning Brew cofounder told me to drop everything I was doing & read a book that would completely change how we ran our business. He was right. The book was Traction & the game-changer for our business was a framework called the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which I now use to run all of my businesses. There are a bunch of ways that you can switch your business to EOS from self-implementation (aka reading the book) to hiring a professional implementer. 

Product: Bookkeeping, tax planning & tax filing made simple My experience: Spoiler alert: I hate bookkeeping. Better Bookkeeping is a perfect example of what modern service businesses should look like: a combo of high-skilled humans paired with automation & technology. BB handles all of the startup stuff I hate, so I can spend my time on the startup stuff I love. 

Product: Easy-to-use corporate cards, bill payments, accounting, and a whole lot more. All in one place.  My experience: Aside from Ramp being the fastest company ever to hit $100m ARR, we’ve been a customer at Morning Brew for 3+ years. Their corporate finance products blow all legacy players out of the water with a sharp, modern UX. 

Product: People platform that helps growing businesses onboard, pay, insure, and support their hardworking teams with payroll, benefits, and more. My experience: Here’s my hot take on startup HR platforms. Most have similar-ish features, which means standing out comes down to UX, speed, and customer service. I find that Gusto wins on all 3. 

Product: Software that's powerful, not overpowering. Seamlessly connect your data, teams, and customers on one AI-powered customer platform that grows with your business. My experience: I use Hubspot as the CRM for my creator talent agency and it does everything we need. It allows my Oceans assistant to build prospect lists, manage automated email outreach, update our deal pipeline, send IOs & invoices, and a whole bunch more. Really good balance of intuitiveness, while still being feature-heavy and powerful.
