Beautiful and worth the entire hike. Don't stop at the bottom to get your photos. If you walk about 15 to 20 minutes, the crowds will clear, and you'll soon feel like you're the only person in the shrine.
Visually phenomenal! You'll want to get there before 8am we got there at 9am and these were the crowds.
Known as the kitchen of Kyoto, and there are over 100 food and shopping stalls here. You'll find plenty of things you want to try, and some pretty interesting things as well.
This area really come to life after 5pm when the restaurants open and all of the lanterns turn on, you'll see some street musicians, and if you're lucky, maybe even a geisha.
Incredible experience. The monkeys freely walk amongst the people, they seem very tame and friendly. There are also amazing views of over Kyoto and free binoculars to use.
When you think traditional Japan, this is it. The architecture is stunning. Winding back streets, hidden gems and incredible detail.
