Offers crisis relief grants. Apply online at https://dgf.org/grants/ Crisis Relief Grants available to dramatists (composers, lyrists, playwrights, librettists) who have evacuated or experienced loss in the fires. The grants can be used for rental costs, medical needs and insurance payments.
Offers financial assistance. Apply online at https://entertainmentcommunity.org Financial assistance to performing arts and entertainment professionals who have earned at least $10K/year at least 3 of the last 6 years.
Federal sister assistance is available to the state of California to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by wildfires from January 7 and continuing. Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated areas can begin applying for assistance. Disaster Relief Application Assistance In Person Multiple Locations LA County Library will host FEMA staff at seven locations to allow residents affected by the wildfires to submit applications for disaster relief. The following libraries will be open Sunday, January 12 through Monday, January 13, from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Emergency Funds ($500) The application can be found online in English and in Spanish. For more information call 213-435-1151 or email [email protected]. Emergency funds for outdoor workers that includes street vendors, landscapers and recyclers affected by the fires. Through this fund impacted outdoor workers can apply for one-time cash assistance support of $500. Recipients will receive cash payments on a first-come, first-served basis, and as funding allows.

The organization’s social workers are currently taking hotline calls and will return them as quickly as possible. In addition to providing financial assistance, MPTF will also provide case management services to support industry members through the many federal and state and other resources that might be available to them.

The minimum three-year employment eligibility is waived for natural disaster assistance: A one-time emergency stipend is available for individuals who work in theatrical exhibition and distribution who have been displaced by the fires in Southern California. If you have worked in theatrical exhibition or distribution for three years or more and have an additional need beyond the emergency stipend, you may be eligible for further assistance. Please describe your situation in the comment box at the bottom of the intake form and a social worker will contact you with further instructions and documentation requirements.
