This hotel is incredibly special and very boutique. The romantic interiors made me swoon. Make sure to check out the Club Room which is open to the public even if you're not staying at the hotel. Find The Lowell, near Central Park on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Family-owned, with rare wood-burning fireplaces, terraces & exquisite dining at French restaurant, Majorelle. The Club Room The perfect place for a nightcap or a beverage to start of the night. I think this is one of the most beautiful club lounges in a New York hotel. Parquet floors, elaborate crown molding, a library of curated vintage books, deep sofas, wingback club chairs, a fireplace - AND a garden!
The Carlyle is absolutely iconic in NY. One of the best parts about staying at the hotel is that you can get in to Bemelman's bar without too much of a wait because you are a guest of the hotel! Bemelman's Bar Getting in is no joke! If coming here is a top priority, I would book a room at the hotel so that you get priority access to the bar. Guests not staying at the hotel often wait for an hour or two to get in. TIP: Show up before 5:30 when they open, and you have a better chance of getting in. Also, dress the part! AND know that there is a $10 cover charge from 5:30 to 8:30 and up to a $35 cover charge per person once the Jazz starts. Kindly note that Bemelmans Bar has a smart dress code policy. From 5:30 p.m. nightly, collared shirts are required for men and no shorts or hats are allowed.
