Relationships
In the final week of Bikinis in the Snow, Morry and I explored the 36 Questions That Lead to Love. We shared an intimate evening answering these thought-provoking questions together.
Last week it was compliments to each other. This week, we gave compliments to others. As genuinely as possible, we gave out compliments to people outside of our family.
For week 14 of Bikinis in the Snow, we complemented each other. We gave each other at least one compliment each day.
We decided to set aside 20 minutes each day to sit quietly with no distractions. For me, I only did a couple of days. Some of the days I forgot, while others I was busy and then too tired at the end of the day.
This week for Bikinis in the Snow, we got pedicures. Yes, both of us. For me, it was not a big deal. In fact, I was pretty excited to include this as a challenge. Morry, on the other hand, has never had a pedicure, and never thought about getting one either!
In this week's installment of the Bikinis in the Snow challenge, participants are challenged to go without caffeine. The post discusses the experiences of Morry, who typically consumes Red Bull, and the author's usual afternoon coffee habit.
This week, we definitely stepped out of our comfort zones and tried something we have never tried before. We went to a psychic reading.
This week on Bikinis in the Snow, the challenge was to give wine another try. Neither of us are big wine drinkers, but we explore our experiences with wine at events and with friends.
For week 7 of Bikinis in the Snow, we decided to focus on physical affection. As married couple of 13+ years, we don't often hold hands, hug, or snuggle.
This week we decided to turn off the television and focus on quality couple's time. We still sat together, but instead of watching a show we would chat and eat dessert (on one occasion).
Bikinis in the Snow week 5 is Trust at the Thrift Store. Our mission: to go to a thrift store and buy outfits for each other - no rules, complete trust.
To get out of my comfort zone, week 4 of Bikinis of the Snow is Embracing Sports as a Boy Mom. I'm surrounded by sports fanatics at home that eat, sleep, and breathe sports.
With busy schedules, we are often quick to say no to things, but this week, things are going to change. This is the week of 'Yes!'.
We are ready to spice things up a bit in the kitchen. We searched for some new-to-us dinner recipes that would still be somewhat easy to make and not take too much time.
I have talked about doing the New Year's Day Polar Bear Splash at Barton Springs in Austin, Texas. Today, as a family, we jumped into the 68 degree water, starting out the new year with a splash!
