Entire Norway is rich country, Oslo is expensive and rich as well, but this neighbourhood is just wow. Only fency buildings with kanus in front of each one. Really fun to see.
After nature and waterfalls we came to this beautiful waterfront walk. It may be the fact that it was really beautiful day, but this walk is just amazing. Lot of people just soaking the sun on a nice day, some even swim. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy or if you prefer restaurants and caffees for a coffee or a beer.
This surprised me, didn't know that Noble peace is held here. Not impressive building but really cool to see it.
Really beautiful and big with gardens around and green area. Oslo is not a big city, so everything is within walking distance . Worth visiting.
My husband told me about this park and sculptures, but when you see it first hand it makes wow effect on you. I am not an artist person but those sculptures really represent human's life story. They are not vulgar, they are telling a story. More about it in fun facts stack :)
Really really great place with great vibe. It is a bit "outside" of the main center, but it is what makes it special. Big indoor and a bit smaller outdoor space. We ate Phillippines and Greek cuisine and everything was great. Pricey, but entire Oslo is pricey, so within that range :D
Something you didn't see before. Smart usage of cold sea with saunas. A lot of people were using it, groups (friends) mostly. What you get in spa, sauna -> cold pool, here you have it within nature. If I could go to sauna probably we would experience it, looks really fun on a sunny day.
The view didn't impress me, but the building shaped as an iceberg did. It is in the center, so worth going
Bunch of beer selection on tap. One note, Oslo has most expensive domestic beer on tap. it is around 10€. So be prepared or be broke or be both :)
One of the most iconic images in art, seen as symbolizing the anxiety of the human condition. It is in the park on the edge of the city (or center), not many people go there, but the view is amazing from up there. Would recommend.
Cool area, it was on our way to the city center. If you go there, check market for food and drinks and continue going to check that river and nature walk basically in the city center.
Oslo is not full of tourist classics, like souvenir shops and stuff like that. But this it the most tourist place to visit. Here you can get a magnet or some other souvenir.
