There is an index called Nifty Defence Index. Between 28th February and 7th of May, this index has gone up by 35 percent. Crazy bullish sentiments right now. And if you ever want to invest in this particular index, there are two routes for you. Number one is ETFs. Number two is index mutual funds. When it comes to ETFs, there are two offerings at the minute, which is Growe and Motilal Oswal. Groww’s expense ratio is 0.43 percent at the moment and Motilal Oswal is 0.40 percent. Since both of these are ETFs, there are no exit loads. You can completely exit anytime you want them without any penalties. When it comes to index funds, there are two of them, Aditya Birla and Motilal Oswal. Aditya Birla expense ratio is 0.31 percent, Motilal Oswal percent. Motilal Oswal is slightly cheaper. But please make sure you go with the direct index mutual funds because these are the expense ratio for direct index mutual funds. And from an exit load perspective, if you exit this one within 15 days of buying, then you will have to pay 1 percent penalty. And Aditya Birla, if you exit before 30 days, you will have to pay 0.05 percent exit load penalty.
